No Taxpayer Funds for Teacher's Unions

Teachers unions, No Taxpayer Funds: House Bill 98.

Update: H 98 which would prohibit any tax dollars from going to the teachers' union in the form of paid time off for union activities, subsidizing union dues, or even automatic deduction of dues from employee paychecks, passed the House 40-29 but has stalled in the Senate State Affairs Committee.

This bill bars school districts from using taxpayer resources for teachers’ union activities, including allowing union representatives to take paid time off for their duties and would also prohibit teachers’ union members from paying their union dues through an automated payroll dedication system. School district officials who violate the prohibitions would face fines up to $2,50
